a historical and yet very contemporary city, is the heart of the
South and home of famous 'Gone with the Wind' author, Margaret
Mitchell.
The city’s newest addition is the Georgia Aquarium, the
world’s largest. With 8 million gallons of fresh and marine
water, and more than 100,000 animals representing 500 species
from around the globe, your students are sure to see things they’ve
never seen before!
Atlanta, site of the 1996 Summer Olympics, has a magnificent 21-acre
Olympic Park featuring the eyecatching Fountain of Rings and various
artworks which you can visit after your CNN tour.
Steeped in the history of the South, Atlanta's historic sights
offer visitors a trip back in time. Visit Stone Mountain Park
and let your students use up some energy climbing Stone Mountain,
or visit the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site.
